A densely packed day full of sporting highlights lies behind the athletes. In addition to the medal decisions in the junior sprint, the men and women also competed. In the stadium, 4,000 spectators cheered on the athletes and created a world championship atmosphere.
It started at 10 a.m. with the juniors. Silver medalist Fabian Kaske delivered a strong race and was able to finish third behind Czech Jonas Marecek and his compatriot Tomas Mykiska.
The juniors managed the triple: Selina Grotian took gold with an excellent shooting and running performance ahead of Selina Marie Kastl and Johanna Puff.
In the afternoon, the men took to the 7.5km circuit. After yesterday's silver medal, Sweden's Sebastian Samuelsson took gold today ahead of his teammate Peppe Femling and Niklas Hartweg (SUI).
In light rain the starting signal was given for the decision in the women's race. Lisa Vittozzi (ITA) won ahead of Marketa Davidova (CZE). Lena Haecki Groß from Switzerland and Paulina Batovska Fialkova (SVK) shared the third place at the same time.
