Today the junior pursuit races were on the competition program. The two Czechs Tomas Mikyska and Jonas Marecek secured gold and silver. The podium is completed by Ukrainian Vitalii Mandzyn. In the junior women's event, the world champion comes from Germany: Selina Marie Kastl secured the title ahead of her teammate Johanna Puff. Third place went to Czech Tereza Vobornikova.
The mass starts of men and women completed today's competition. Dorothea Wierer secured the World Championship title again. Denise Herrmann finished second while Marketa Davidova took third place.
In men's race Sebastian Samuelsson continues his yesterday's performance and secures his second gold medal in a thrilling final sprint. Roman Rees runs to second place on the wet tracks of the Chiemgau Arena. The Swede Martin Ponsiluoma placed third.
