Stadium manager Engelbert Schweiger is happily anticipating the upcoming World Cup: The snow situation is much easier than last year. This is noticeably good for the team and the preparations can be made smoothly.” Even it doesn’t appear that way after an initial glance around town, it is winter in the Chiemgau Arena and therefore top conditions for the over 300 athletes from 44 nations.

The current weather forecast is predicting best winter climate – lots of sun and possibly some snowflakes towards the end of the week. Best conditions for the many fans who have been on their way to Ruhpolding since the weekend. The current estimate is for up to 85,000 visitors throughout the week. But what is the favorite spot in the stadium? According to Engelbert Schweiger, it is clearly the Sunny-Side Stands – best view of the events, warming sun on your skin and thanks to the new screen set-up, everything is visible.  This year, there will be seven screens distributed throughout the stadium! So, regardless of whether you are on the sunny-stands, the track or the main stands, everyone will find their favorite spot in the Chiemgau Arena - Tickets in various categories are still available for each day!
