Your way into the Chiemgau Arena

  • Public shuttle: with the shuttle buses from Ruhpolding to the Chiemgau Arena.

        One hour before the start of the competition the road into the stadium will be completely closed and only shuttle vehicles are allowed! It will
        then no longer be possible to drive through to Reit im Winkl.
        Departure points:

  •        Ruhpolding train station and Speedway stadium (Zeller Straße)
  •         Inzell from Wednesday until Sunday (marked parking lots)
  •         Siegsdorf only Saturday and Sunday

            
        Departure times (regular departures):

  •             Tuesday: from 10 a.m. (train station and Speedway Stadium)
  •             Wednesday to Saturday: from approx. 11 a.m. (train station, Speedway Stadium and further stops)
  •             Sunday: from approx. 08.15 (train station, Speedway Stadium and further stops)

             
            Return from the stadium: until approx. 18.00 (Tuesday only until 16.00)
            After the stadium empties, the buses will only run as far as Ruhpolding (Speedway stadium and train station). The parking lots
            in Inzell, Siegsdorf and Märchenpark (Brand) will no longer be served.

             
    Extra: Marquartstein and Bergen: Achental line (shuttle service via Achental community)

  • Achental Line (fee required)
    • Line 1 runs from Übersee to Ruhpolding.
    • Line 2 runs from Bernau am Chiemsee via Grassau, Staudach and Marquartstein to Ruhpolding. Timetable line 2
    • Line 3 from Schleching via Unterwössen to Ruhpolding. Timetable line 3

            Tickets can be found online (Line 1; Line 2 and Line 3) or at the Tourist Information in Unterwössen.

 

  •     VIP Shuttle

        Departure points: Alte Tourist-Info parking lot & VIP parking lot (Seehauser Straße, please pay attention to signage)
         Departure times (regular departures):

  •             Wed-Thu: from 12 noon
  •             Fri-Sat: from 12.30 p.m.
  •             Sun: from 10.30 a.m.

        Return from the stadium: until approx. 18.00/ 18.30 hrs.

  • Via the A8: Take the exit Traunstein/Siegsdorf, and follow the signs to the parking lots in Ruhpoldng and Inzell
  • From Salzburg­Berchtesgaden: take the Deutsche Alpenstraße (German Alpine Road) to the parking lots in Inzell
  • From Tyrol:  Drive to the parking lot in Reit im Winkl (Note: There is a fee for the transportation to the Chiemgau Arena)
  • There is no access by car or parking at the Chiemgau Arena!
  • Transportation from the parking lots to the Chiemgau Arena is possible exclusively by shuttle bus or by foot.
  •  Departure points:
    • Ruhpolding train station and Speedway stadium (Zeller Straße)
    • Inzell from Wednesday until Sunday (marked parking lots)
    • Siegsdorf only Saturday and Sunday
  • The shuttle bus will be running continuously; travel time to the Chiemgau Arena is about 15-­20 minutes.
  • From Ruhpolding you can walk to the Chiemgau Arena along the Traun via Laubau in approximately 1.5 – 2 hours

  • The Bayerische Regiobahn (BRB) takes you comfortably from Munich or Salzburg via Traunstein to Ruhpolding. The trip with the BRB on the route Traunstein - Ruhpolding is integrated in every event ticket. The special timetable for the Biathlon can be found at www.brb.de.

  • From Ruhpolding station a free bus shuttle will take you to the Chiemgau Arena.
    The bus shuttle operates continuously; travel time to the Chiemgau Arena approx. 15-20 minutes.

  • Bavaria-wide low-cost train travel with the Bayern-Ticket or the Guten Tag-Ticket, the day ticket valid for all trains of the BRB. Coming from the region, the Traun-Alz-Ticket is available from 7,00€. For more information on tickets and train connections, visit www.brb.de or www.bahn.de.

  • Alternatively, by foot along the Traun via Laubau to the Chiemgau Arena; walking time approx. 1.5 to 2 hours.

     

  • The Fan Bus parking lot is next to the Lumber Jack Museum (Holzknechtmuseum)
  • There will be signs directing you along the footpath from that parking lot to the Chiemgau Arena. It is not possible to get on or off the Fan Bus directly at the Chiemgau Arena. Fan Busses cannot park at the Arena. The walk from the Fan Bus parking lot (Holzknechtmuseum) to the Chiemgau Arena takes about 30 minutes
