Tina Bachmann, Miriam Gössner and Andrea Henkel excelled themselves and presented their team mate Magdalena Neuner who had to do a penalty round with her 12th Gold medal. The Silver medal goes to the French team who were excellent at the shooting. Bronze went to Norway after a great catch-up race by Tora Berger.

DSV men finally claimed their first WCH medal
Ruhpolding 10. Mär. 2012 –
This is the fourth time for Norway to win the men’s relay title in four consecutive years: the WCH in 2009, the Olympic Games in 2012 and the WCH in 2011, and now the WCH in 2012. The DSV men have finally claimed their first WCH medal and awarded with bronze when they finish third behind the French who had to give up their dream of gold only after the last shooting.

At the women’s individual, it wasn’t Magdalena Neuner and Darya Domracheva who took the lead roles for a change. This time, Tora Berger, Marie Laure Brunet and Helena Ekholm were the ones celebrating the gold, silver and bronze medals.

French team snatches first gold medal in Ruhpolding
Ruhpolding 03. Mär. 2012 –
This winter's two best biathletes claimed gold and silver in the first individual. Martin Fourcade and Emil Hegle Svendsen were even able to compensate for two shooting errors. Sweden’s Carl Johan Bergman settled for third. He had clinched the gold medal in the sprint races of Oestersund and Hochfilzen.

11th World Chmpion title for "Gold-Lena"
Ruhpolding 03. Mär. 2012 –
Magdalena Neuner is still on course. Her goal to win six medals is still within reach. With a stellar performance on the course and two clean shooting bouts she won the Gold medal ahead of the Belarusian Darya Domracheva and Vita Semerenko with a surprise performance in third place.

Scandinavians dominate mixed relay competition
Ruhpolding 01. Mär. 2012 –
Norway’s mixed relay team claimed the gold medal in a spectacular biathlon WCH opening race in bright sunshine. The most sensational performance was delivered by the quartet from Slovenia, which captured silver ahead of the DSV relay team.
